Toyota Grand Opening
o2 designed, produced and curated the opening day for Toyota’s new North American Headquarters in Plano, Texas. Toyota’s move from California to Texas culminated with the “ONE Toyota” Grand Opening event. A full evening comprised of a reception, press event, tours, performances and gala celebrated the 100-acre corporate campus, Toyota’s commitment to sustainability and its North American legacy. The event represented a more unified Toyota, and welcomed Plano community members, including invited dignitaries, local leaders, and partners.

The Oculus skylight, a symbol of the new headquarters, inspired the visual identity of the event.

o2 designed and produced graphics and wayfinding for guided campus tours that ran throughout the event.
Bandaloop, a world-renowned vertical dance troupe, performed a “ribbon cutting” dance in the central courtyard. Dancers descended from the Oculus and repelled down the buildings with swaths of Toyota-red fabric. The dynamic choreography celebrated the architecture and environment, with a stunning Texas sky backdrop.
